The best in RVA!!!
I’m in love with this place!
Best tacos around.
Food is great people are great.
Before and after lime & tomatillo salsa. This is the best taco truck in Richmond. There is other food besides tacos but everything on the menu should be tried at least once it won't disappoint!!! The carne is what i get and it's definitely delicious. For the chicken it's seasoned heavily so it's got a good kick too it. If you're not fond of spicy stuff this will get spicy after a few bites!!
Also heads up this place is CASH ONLY. So be prepared with cash beforehand! and if you like avocados try the tortas! Definitely mouth watering..
Incredible tacos. Best in the city.
I love this place. Best tacos this side of the border
I travel the country and these are hands down the best lengua tacos ever.
Tacos are excellent. My new favorite lunch spot
Cute and friendly! Awesome fresh spicy chicken taco on a corn tortilla. Fresh veggies and spicy green sauce. Delicious! And it was $3 ! I'd eat here daily.
Great beef tacos. Three of them filled me up. Only takes cash - NO CREDIT CARDS, so stop at an ATM first. It's worth it!
Worth the drive from the west end to get there. Everything is fresh and tastes amazing. Very authentic. A bonus is the staff is very friendly.
As a native So. Cal girl, one thing I have been on the search for since moving to Virginia is the TASTE I grew up with. My husband and I have tried so many places and while each has their own merit and uniqueness, nothing has had THAT flavor... until today. My husband had a pork burrito and I had beef tacos with everything. Oh my goodness. The helpings were plentiful, filling us both up (and believe me, my husband can pack it away). The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. I wish it were closer to where I live in North Dinwiddie, but I tell you, this place is worth the drive. Everything is cooked to order so it takes a few minutes. THe outside dining area is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. This will be our "go-to" when I am looking for that taste of home.
Right up there with Tacos Mexico, the menu is simple and delicious. You want authentic tacos this is the spot. Not much room for seating but when the tacos are life changing who cares where you eat them. ATM a toda madre
Probably the best tacos I have ever had in my entire life, so most certainly the best tacos in Richmond. I feel deprived that I did not stop in sooner, but I look forward to a long relationship with El Tacorrey. I literally cannot stop thinking about the spicy chicken tacos. Pro tip: bring exact change.
Went for the three spicy chicken tacos. Fresh ingredients, with a bit of spice to the meat, three juicy slices of lime - clearly not cut hours ago and sitting in the open dehydrating - fresh cilantro, sour cream, cheese, diced tomatoes. It was a delightful mingling of flavors in my mouth. Yes, just a little food truck, but it's what inside that counts!
Really amazing burritos and tacos.... make sure you call ahead with your order otherwise you will wait about 25 minutes or more.
Super authentic, absolutely amazing, mind blowing tacos. Don't let the nature of the trailer/truck prevent you from eating here. The service is always friendly, the food is made to order, and has never ever let us down.
There's a picnic table or two if you want to eat there (we've taken our own beer a couple of hot nights and had them while we ate, but I don't know if that's a totally accepted practice), but it's usually easier to grab and take home where you can fill your belly and loosen your belt.
Meat choices are chicken, steak, pork and chorizo. The chicken ranges from flavorful and spicy to flavorful and my mouth is on fire, please call for help. The pork, I don't eat pork, but it always smells amazing and my coworkers assure me it's by far the most flavorful and tender, melty meat they've ever eaten. The steak is chopped, and well cooked. It's nothing incredible, but very tasty still. I've never tried the chorizo.
Tacos are each two warm corn tortillas, enough meat to fill 6-8 tortillas, cilantro, onion, salt and lime. Burritos are bigger than your head and you'll wake up the next morning craving it. Tostadas are crisp, and because of the thick beans, lettuce, tomato and sour cream- I love them with the chicken.
It's cash only, which is a bummer, but this is well worth the ATM stop.
I love this little taco truck, very fresh and authentic Mexican food. Portions are huge and the price is cheap, win-win. If I have one complaint it is they do not accept debit/credit cards, so be prepared.
I ordered the spicy chicken tacos, they said 12 minutes and were spot on. Very tasty and spicy. If they were closer I would eat here often. Only complaint is no list of meat/protein options, only "tacos at 3 for $7"
CASH ONLY. Super authentic. Super delicious. Burrito was massive. Tacos were excellent. It's a food truck but there is covered and indoor seating in case of rain. Worth the stop.
Best Spicy Tacos in the city! They never fail to amaze me the food is always hot and fresh and seasoned to perfection! Spicy Tacos from here are a must!
Great prices. Authentic tacos. Dont pass it up. If I could fit more food in my stomach I would.
After gorging myself on Christmas dinner and leftovers, I was in the mood for tacos. (Who's ever NOT in the mood for tacos) I headed down to my good ole faithful taco truck Taqueria el taco Rey "The King of tacos", ordered up 3 of the spicy chicken tacos and proceeded to wolf them down with a Mexican Coke. If you've never gone, go. Yes it's a food truck, yes they barely speak English (use that Rosetta Stone your grandma gave you). But everything is purely authentic Mexican street food! They even have Elotes for crying out loud! That's grilled corn for all you gringos lol. Everything is delicious and this will continue to be my favorite taco stand.
Hands down the best taco truck in the city, and the best torta de pollo I've had outside of Mexico. Well worth the drive if you don't live close by. As someone else mentioned, it is cash only. The wait can also be a little long, sometimes 15-20 minutes if they're really busy, but again- totally worth it. They have outside and indoor seating, and there are drinks available for purchase inside. Try everything. It's all delicious, fresh, handmade and authentic.
P.S. Speaking Spanish definitely helps but isn't necessary
